Jake was born 3 years younger than his brother and has spent all of his life trying to catch him up.
This frustration drove him into the first team Saracens squad straight from school and years later it manifested in him competing, rather unwittingly, at the Amateur Triathlon World Championships. He now channels his energies (frustration) into the world of work.
Jakes first ‘proper’ job was consulting – which included quantifying the amount of culture for the Secretary of State for Culture Media and Sport. He was subsequently lured into the coal-face of sales making 100 calls a day selling Worldcom services during their bankruptcy. Challenging and character building!
Jake then joined QAS, (subsequently bought by Experian) and climbed up the ranks – eventually running the channel sales division. Jake then joined a new division within Sky – a market-disrupting-data-driven-marketing-consultancy-start-up. Jake helped shape the business as part of the senior management team and delivered multi-million pound contracts whilst forming partnerships with the likes of dunnhumby. He left as Director of Alliances and part of the Sky Media Extended Exec.
When Jake isn’t trying to narrow the brethren age-gap he can be found spending time with his family, donning lycra in the Surrey-hills (mostly cycling) and re-branding the greek financial debt crisis as an unfortunate kerfuffle.
