Having learned the basics of sales and marketing the hard way – selling kitchens door to door at the age of 18, Alison decided to head for the bright lights of London to get some more qualifications and a ‘proper career’.

Taking every opportunity she could, Alison power dressed her way through the late 80’s working for the John Lewis Partnership and becoming the youngest ever Section Manager in the tough commercial world of retail where the delivery of customer value is paramount. She then moved into the glamorous world of document management and combined a sales role with leading a team of people responsible for providing a fully outsourced Facilities Management solution for Ernst and Young.

After 7 years Alison was enticed back ‘Up North’ to join Experian Ltd where she was to embark on 14 years of corporate fun. The move gave her a wealth of hands on executive experience managing people and projects working with clients such as Channel 5, Barclays, HBoS, Abbey and Redcats. As the business expanded rapidly Alison lead teams designing complex sales and delivery strategies. These provided international organisations with multi country information based solutions helping them recruit new and cross sell to existing customers.

Today Alison gets her kicks applying her experience, professionalism and enthusiasm to the challenges in her clients’ businesses and helping them leverage the full potential of their greatest asset, their people.

Not one to sit with her feet up, when she’s not spending time with clients, Alison can be found riding her horse, scuba diving (in warm water), mountain biking or skiing.
