Clare started her career at the coal face of National Westminster Bank, both behind the counter as a cashier and then processing cheques in a (not so glamorous) back office machine room.
It didn’t take long, within 2 years she was mentoring junior colleagues and 3 years later was managing her first team; thus beginning what has become an enduring (and occasionally torrid) love affair with people management.
After a decade of operational line management she took the risk of a move to the world of change and was rewarded with a Director role at ING Barings managing various transformation initiatives. This included a very scary project delivering CRM into the not so welcoming arms of 2,000 relationship managers.
Clare really does love the challenge of change and leading teams though difficult projects, which she has had the opportunity to do in many amazing organisations.
Now as a partner with Positive Momentum Clare’s experiences enable her to bring to her clients a simple, no nonsense and pragmatic approach to change
When not helping her clients, you are likely to find Clare spending quality time with family and friends. She is truly the ‘best Aunty Clare in the whole wide world’ to her nieces, nephew and numerous godchildren, with whom she shares all the fun and excitement that life has to offer. She is also a keen scuba diver, loving the beauty and peacefulness, as well as the exhilaration and the unknown of the underwater world.
