Simon Berry
Simon started his working life in a travelling French circus. His career took off rapidly when he accepted a role as labourer on building sites in Germany and just as rapidly declined when he moved into the technology industry. His corporate career included spells in sales, account management, sales management, sales training and international change. He finally gave up the ghost on his career when he left NCR Ltd as Director of Quality and a member of the UK management team.
The last thirteen years have been spent as an independent consultant, borrowing people’s watches and telling them the time in such clients as Ace, Amdahl, Intel, Harmonic, HSBC, Bookham, Carl Zeiss and Sterling Commerce.
His work has been mostly in sales and organisational change. He has a strong belief that almost all organisational challenges can be resolved through open, honest and constructive conversations and much of his work is about helping his clients identify what these are and then developing the skills and motivation to hold them.
When not working he plays golf and tennis and does everything he can to avoid helping his partner look after her horse.
